Celebrate the Occasion -- Patriotic Card

Heart 2 Heart Challenge - Week of June 28, 2010:
This week, we are getting patriotic! We'll let you interpret that however you would like but your finished project must include stars and/or stripes

I hope you have a fantastic 4th of July weekend.
For this card I used the CTMH "You Rock" paper for the background, CTMH Outdoor Denim cardstock behind the sentiment, and stamped the stars and centiment from the CTMH Everyday Celebration Fall Constant Campaign stamp set using outdoor denim ink. I used CTMH cranberry velvet ribbon for the bow.

Thanks for stopping by and seeing the card I created. Happy 4th of July !

Father's Day Card

Heart2Heart - Week of June 14, 2010
For this week's challenge, we are getting scrappy for Dad but not with layouts!! This week we want to see your cards (or other projects) for Father's Day that are made with scraps and/or recycled items. You know you have scraps lying around and other goodies that Dad will think are cool on his card so get creative and play along!

This card will be for my husband since my father and father-in-law are both deceased. I made the card base using the paper bag card stock from the Passages paper packet and a scrap piece on the right side of the card is also from Passages. I used the new 1-1/4" punch to make the folded circle (from scraps of green card stock). The brad in the middle of the circle is from my stash.

The Stamp Sets on the front of the card are: Off Road (retired) and the sentiment "It's Your Day" is using Flower Pot which is the April, 2010 Stamp of the Month. All stamped using CTMH Chocolate ink.
Here is the inside of the card -- I used the March, 2010 SOTM, A Little Everything.
Enjoy the weekend with your father or husband and thanks for looking at my card.

Last Day of School

Heart2Heart Challenge - Week of June 7, 2010
SCRAPBOOKING! Yep, no rules, just create a layout using CTMH products and join in the fun. Your layout MUST include photos!! Oh and if you don't scrapbook, well first off, why not?? and secondly, you can create another project but it must feature a photo.

Here is a layout that I have made using Topstitch paper. The top of the page is cut off, but most of the layout is there. This is 1st grade awards day where the teacher gives all the children an award. The bottom picture is a picture of the students in her classroom after the awards.
